THE SOCIETY
The Society was founded in 1909.

Currently, the Society holds three Any Variety Retriever Field Trials each year, including a two-day Open stake which carries a qualification for the International Gundog League's annual Retriever Championship.

The Society does not hold Gundog Working Tests, although it may occasionally hold training events in the Spring and Summer months

The Society is affiliated to the Kennel Club (KC ID no.691).

MEMBERSHIP
The membership application form is available in the Download section below.
Membership applications are welcomed throughout the year but are only considered at the Society's AGM, after which applicants are notified of the outcome of their application.

Members receive preference in the draw for the Society's Field Trials.

The Society does not offer joint membership. If a dog is jointly owned, both owners must be a member of the Society in order to receive preference in the draw.

Subscriptions of £10 are payable annually on 1 March.
A joining fee of £5 is also levied with the initial membership application.
